Kent S. Berk
Kent is tenacious, knowledgeable, thorough and, when necessary, aggressive. Kent treats his clients as he would want to be treated if he were involved in a legal matter. He considers the legal strategies available in light of the practical, emotional, and economic consequences of potential options and results. He gives each client personalized attention and handles each matter in an efficient and cost-effective manner. He goes the extra distance. He regularly gives clients his cell phone number and is available when clients need him.
As explained by an actual client, “Kent is a dispassionate advocate who exemplifies knowledge, integrity, honesty, sensitivity, and fairness. Fortunately, Kent’s keen litigation skills served me well in my battle with family greed and dishonesty.”
Kent was born in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1972. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in business/finance in 1988. Kent graduated seventh out of approximately three hundred students, with magna cum laude and order of the coif honors, from Tulane Law School in 1992. He then held a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Sherman G. Finesilver, Chief Judge, United States District Court, Colorado. After his clerkship, Kent joined the then second largest law firm in Arizona, O’Connor Cavanagh, where he handled many types of disputes, litigation and arbitrations from 1993 to 1996. Always wanting to own his own business, in 1996, Kent started his own law firm, now Berk & Moskowitz, P.C.
In his free time, Kent owns AZ on the Rocks-Indoor Climbing, Inc. with his brother, enjoys family time with his wife and three children, rock climbing, hiking, reading and traveling.
